Frostbite
Ice cream sandwiches, made in Zurichs smallest kitchen—a private mini-project.

Food has always been one of my greatest joys. Especially sweets. Baking is where I find my calm after a long week. For a while, I supplied cakes to Le Raymond Café in Zurich, and even now, if I crave something—I make it. As many times as it takes to get it just right.

In the summer of 2022, I got completely hooked on making my own ice cream. Before long, my freezer was stacked with sandwiches, and it felt like the perfect excuse to give them a little world of their own. I wanted something playful, light, and easy to roll out again if the sandwich craving ever returned. Each flavour gave its own cue—the colours, the textures—so the labels became little reflections of what was inside.

It started as a side project. But every year, as soon as the sun comes out and the ice cream machine hums back to life, I start thinking… maybe this one could go beyond the freezer.
